A while ago I featured Jannis’ website here for the beautiful, relaxed, paradise design in it’s header. Recently, he redesigned the header and made it even more beautiful with lots more detail and design elements.
Also wanted to mention the navigation bar, it’s pretty simple and yet very nice looking. With the subtle hover effect and nice little icons.
Amazing work Jannis, great job!
While visiting some hosting sites for website design ideas and inspiration, I found this one the had a nice blue and yellow combination with a hint of gray colored backgrounds and pale yellow for the navigation hover effect. These colors work really well together and I think I’ll be using this color scheme for my next project. Notice the glossy effect on the buttons too, looks pretty nice and elegant.
Pastel blues, greens and pinks, excellent layout and attention to detail makes Show & Tell Sale’s website very inviting, even cuddly, very clean and soft. The small edge treatment and the stitching detail at the bottom of the header area adds so much character to the page. The navigation buttons with the arrow marking the current page and the nice mouse-over effects. Make sure to scroll all the way down to check out the footer, it’s very nicely done, the white background ends right before the footer and sits on top of what looks sort of like blurry glass. This website has a perfect inspirational website design.
Beautiful, crisp, rich design here. From the first glance it looks like this page is built on top of a high quality photograph enhanced with some computer graphics but it looks to me like it’s the other way around, the room it self was created in photoshop, just the baby crib, the child and the photographs on the wall are real photos that were pasted on top of CG. I love the navigation. Very nicely done.
Here is a nice side navigation idea. The buttons are stacked on the left side rather than traditionally at the top. Although a bit unnatural, it makes you pay attention to the site and explore a bit more than if it was just a top navigation where one would just automatically click without giving it any thought.
If you examine this website you will find that really there are 3 major elements that make this website look so elegant and beautiful, they are color, font and photograph. The deep dark shades of red create a sort of romantic atmosphere and the font used here give it an elegant and sophisticated feel. The crisp photographs in the slide show show the areas in the club which is also staged in a sophisticated style which supports the entire look and feel of the website.
Notice the navigation hover buttons, as you hover the mouse over the navigation links, beautiful buttons appear behind the text. I like it that it’s not just a plain or a rounded corners rectangle but a nice classic shape that matches the rest of the site.deep
MightyLeaf.com is going to be filed into the Best Of 2009 category. I can’t stop starring at it… The design of the site as a whole, then the details – photography work is just stunning, the navigation is very clean and efficient, the logo fits perfectly. This website is truly is a piece of art.
Check out the navigation, it sits there quietly, out of the way while you are not using it, then when you need to find something just hover over the main categories buttons at the top and a smorgasbord of choices come popping out, so much to choose from!
Also the sub-navigation buttons placed nicely under the main navigation is another level of choices to pick from. In all, they have eliminated many extra clicks for a visitor, turning many of then from just visitors to customers.
Very, very green design, all green, with a hint of red… amazingly this whole thing actually looks good. Utilizing various shades and gradients of the color green, the separation between sections and different elements on the site are pretty easily distinguished. I like the main navigation at the top – the large green squares with a drop shadow. They turn red as you hover over them. Looks really bold. Overall, I like the design.
So much to look at, I don’t know where to start. The logo area and the navigation is sitting atop of a nice stripey pattern that flows through out the page. The logo it self is carrying through the stripes. Simple text navigation links look really good inside this stripe. I like the jagged borders which are suppose to be the ripped edges of the green pattern area, it really looks great.
The tiny detailed green pattern is awesome, especially with the lighting effect around the logo area, adding dimension to the header.
Wow, I really like these beautiful navigation tabs. The wood grain in the background gives it a nice texture. As you hover over the tabs they turn a transparent blue tint. In combination with the airy, beautiful image below the tabs, it makes for a stunning design.
